Visa Request

Each participant (sponsored or non-sponsored) will have to bear the costs for their own visa. For sponsored participants, the costs will be reimbursed by EUMETSAT.

Please visit the website of the Ministry of Foreign of the Republic of Benin to find out if you need a visa and if so, which category of visa (Ordinary or Referral).

Following your registration, the Organising Committee will send you a personal invitation letter in order to ease your visa request for Benin.

To obtain you visa, you have the following choice:

  • E-Visa: Apply and pay on-line on the following website: https://evisa.bj/  ($50 to be paid solely by credit card). Within 96 hours you will receive a visa acceptance letter which you will present at flight check-in to be able to embark on the flight and on arrival in Dar es Salaam to obtain your visa. In order to apply for your e-visa you will need to provide in pdf format:
    • Scanned copy of your passport
    • Your flight itinerary
  • Embassy or Consulate: Apply in person at the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Benin in your country prior to your departure.
